The Avengerholic a écrit:
It's nothing of the sort. It's a conversation about Diana's very aged appearance compared to the other leading ladies in the Avengers series. You can't get away from the fact she looks dreadfully old compared to, say Honor who is many, many years her senior. It's nothing to do with surgery or growing old gracefully, she looks terribly aged that's a fact.
Well, apparently Diana herself agrees with you, if I believe what I just found on TheAvenger.tv forum :
The fact that "Parky" had a crush on her was obvious."From Digitalspy :-
The new series of Parkinson kicks off with four decades of stars chatting to the show's host this week.
Guests include Dame Diana Rigg, Sir David Frost, Michael Palin and Annie Lennox, as Michael Parkinson returns for the final run of his chat show.
Former Monty Python star Palin reveals how he woke up in his bed covered in his own blood whilst filming his new BBC show, while Frost talks about Nixon and Sammy Davis Jnr.
The host announces that he has a crush on Rigg, and the actress reveals she's had plastic surgery and that her specialist Mastermind subject would be transvestites."

Well I certainly heard no mention of surgery in the interview and I'm afraid that IMO it certainly doesn't look like she's had any !

I think it is a bit cruel to refere to the pictures from her trip to India... It is rather diferent from a studio's photography...
Diana is very natural, that's all.
Sorry for my awful English!!

Not that awful : I've understood !
Actually I think that Diana doesn't care what we think about her appearance. She's just herself.

I have fun with your comments! At least, you are frank.
Anyway, I believe you will always adore what in Diana's face still remind you this:
She will always keep this structure of face which means so much feelings to me.

Hi Aima,
New here ?
When you say "you" is it plural ?
I like Diana for who she is, not for what she looks like, that's all !
Invité- Invité
Re: Diana on Parkinson
It was just plural, general, about the comments on the face .

I like this photography because Mrs Peel is sleeping, there are also many roses all around her which give to the scene a very poetic style. That's my "point of view".
THIS PHOTO IS FROM EPIC !!!

Well, there's a huge possibility that they re-used it in Epic. The producers were used to this kind of things.Joris a écrit:

Re: Diana on Parkinson
Yes, I took this screen shot of her sleeping and surrounded by roses from the episode EPIC . You perfectly know the episodes! Just after, she plays the cowboy.
I still find her features wonderful as when Garbo became old: her incredible beauty was still visible until the end.

Re: Diana on Parkinson
No problem. I don't know if it's your case but Diana gives me courage to face the old age as, whenever the skin or features change, the structure stays intact because it's from the skeleton GLAD!
Having a mime activity, I've tried to mime Emma Peel for fun. What a muscle of cheek she has ! I've tried each side of smile , uh, I have to be careful for the sprain In the mime, we can have a lot of fun with facial gym and one day I could issue a facial aerobic book because it can help to maintain the youth of the face and maybe I'll become the Elle Macpherson of the face!

As I already said I'm more interested in who Diana is rather than in what she looks like. Furthermore, I've never thought that ageing was such a terrible thing.

Re: Diana on Parkinson
Thanks! Yes, maybe the facial gym book will be useful for other mimes! What I like in Diana's face in her character of Emma Peel is that she smiles all the time, while in my usual mime activity, I have the melancholy of Pierrot the clown.
I absolutely agree with you that it's more important to care about who is Diana rather than just her face, although an artist like her lives through his image which helps him to express feelings and thoughts and to win some money .
